My son is allergic to tree nuts. He can eat peanuts with no problem. His allergy seems to have gotten worse as he gets older. I used to cook things with nuts in it and just have the food in the house for everyone else. That started affecting him, so I don't even bring nuts into the house now.

Regarding the nutmeg...Perhaps you could use cinnamon, instead.

Hope your little guys rash and tummy get better!

Blessings...Beth E.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04996230415386423039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794146002081383981.post-87750917822550478802008-11-17T07:42:00.000-08:002008-11-17T07:42:00.000-08:00Never thought of NUTmeg. I've read that nutmeg is safe for peanut/tree nut allergies on FAAN! *scratching head* We've used it with no problems thus far. you could try ground cloves in the pie. It offers full flavor, too, maybe even more than nutmeg. ; )

BTW, my son always had a rashy face, too. Go figure.Jeannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04375163988696887600noreply@blogger.com
