A picture is worth a thousand words.
Do you think she is allergic to something? I took this photo, to take to the doctor, with me. You know, they never look the same, by the time you get to the office.
So let me break it down for you. We have one with severe peanut, tree nut and egg allergies. And we have one with environmental allergies. Oh, and to top it off, the allergist says Goose's lungs, sound worse than her brothers.
Allergies, of any kind, are not on my list of favorite things.

Ack, poor sweetie. She looks miserable in that picture. I feel for her as that is what happens to me with my enviromental and food allergies, my oldest has the same issues with his enviromental allergies. Has she ever been allergy tested??? I hope you can get some answers.
ReplyDeletePoor little Goose. She looks miserable. Bless her heart, looks like she's severely allergic to whatever it is she was exposed to.
ReplyDeleteI had horrible allergies to almost every living thing that exists in nature as a child. We had to test for allergies over a couple of weeks because I reacted to EVERYTHING. Luckily a few rounds of allergy shots when I was in college dampened it a bit, but they're still pretty bad, though not as bad as before. Blah.
Hardly seems fair that you are burdened with environmental and food allergies within the same family. I'm glad that they're not in the same child, though.
Poor little baby girl! I know how she feels! What did the doctor prescribe for her?
ReplyDeleteI'm praying for both of your precious kiddos. :o)
Oh, she does look miserable--poor girl! And I think I know just how she must have been feeling. My older son and I tend to look that way at certain times of the year too...mostly spring/fall. (claritin for us)
ReplyDeleteSo looks so terribly miserable! I know how it is. To of my daughters have a disease called Mastocytosis where they are kind of allergic to EVERYTHING sometimes. It is annoying. Some days just being emotionally upset will cause a reaction! Good luck!

My kids get itchy eyes this time of year-- it almost looks like an environmental thing. I'm no MD of course!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter takes a med called Xysal that helps immensely with the outdoor allergies.
I hope your little one feels better -- and Mom needs a break, too! :)
I am soooo allergic to the word allergy now that a photo like this just breaks me heart. Hope the doctor can give her something to ease the discomfort.
ReplyDeleteHey Elaine! Did you get the pancake recipe I sent you over the weekend? :)
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by to check out your blog. I also have a son with allergies to peanuts, eggs, milk, soy and beef. It's always interesting to work around them. Peanuts and eggs are the worst! Thank goodness for Sunbutter!
ReplyDeleteHope your little goose is feeling better now.
That looks so uncomfortable, poor dear. I hope you find the culprit...quickly!

she looks like my little one come spring. I did the same thing, too a picture to the doctor to prove that I wasnt exaggerating. good luck.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!!! It's just awful seeing them like that and not only feeling helpless, but partially responsible. :( Poor baby!
ReplyDeleteDon't know how I missed this one. OMG! (Gosh of course)
ReplyDeleteI feel so bad for her! She looks like she just feels terrible! I hope she gets better very soon!! Allergies are no good at all!
ReplyDeletePoor thing! It is nice to know I am not the only one who takes pictures before going to the doctors office. You are right, they will be at least half way "normal" there, and the dr. is like, "blah blah blah" LOL
ReplyDeleteOh I really feel for your daughter! Did you say she has no food allergies? My son looked like this picture only this morning. He has food allergies in addition. I am really anxious to hear what you learned.
ReplyDeleteMy son looked like that once from an allergic reaction to my mom's dog in addition to his spring seasonal allergies. It got to the point where his eyes were almost swelled shut.
ReplyDeleteI hope she is feeling better!
By the way, my son is also allergic to peanuts. Not tree nuts, just peanuts. As of now, my daughter, who will be two next month, is not allergic.
